Sydney based property developer JQZ’s vision for their much-anticipated landmark development, Prime, is to provide its residents the ultimate in lifestyle offerings and convenience, right in the heart of Macquarie Park, in what has been predicted to become Sydney’s fourth CBD. The formal public sales for the project will be launched on 5 November 2016 at the display suite on-site.
Jian Qiu Zhang, Founder and CEO of JQZ said “this project is really special with its totally unique location and how it will re-activate this urban corridor and provide a gateway to the whole area. It sits within the ‘urban reactivation framework’ and supports the councils’ plan for a new road which will be on the east of the site. As its literally right next door to the prestigious Macquarie Centre, there’s also an amazing opportunity to offer the ultimate in shopping convenience for residents.”
The development will feature 680 one, two, three and four-bedroom (penthouse) apartments across four towers, each 20 storeys high. Two towers will be linear (rectangular) in shape and two are diamond in shape, to define the corners of the site. Lane Cove National Park will be seen from the north-facing apartments and the Sydney CBD will be seen from the south-east facing dwellings.
Simon Parsons, Director PTW said “this has been a really exciting development for us to design. Sites like this don’t come up often. The buildings have been arranged to get access from the sun as well as dramatic local and distant views. Plenty of developments in Macquarie Park have challenges achieving good solar access. This project has been designed to ensure substantial solar access in the public and communal areas.”
“The 4 towers will each sit on 4 storey podiums and are surrounded by a central courtyard. Each building will have communal rooftop residents-only garden spaces. There is also a viewing platform which overlooks the central plaza, a landscaped reading/meditation space, 25 metre heated under-cover pool and adjoining spa and gym. The central garden, complete with bbq’s, will be unique to the rest of Macquarie Park. The penthouses will even have internal stairs to access their own private rooftop gardens. There are 19 penthouses in total.”
“We wanted to provide a unique identity for the development by using attractive facades. The two rectangular buildings will feature fine grained mass sliding doors for privacy and to break up the building. The two diamond shaped buildings will have special coloured glass to provide a vertical flow pattern.”
“Rain water will be collected from the roof tops and used to irrigate the podium garden and in the car wash bay. Passive solar will also be used.”
“The ground floor is recessed to create a plaza area to activate the street front and provide an extension of the Macquarie Centre retail experience. This will include restaurants, cafes and alfresco dining, a children’s water play area and public art. It will be a landscaped public domain area and provide an important extension of the shopping centre” added Mr Parsons.
“The 2000sqm food and beverage retail plaza within Prime will essentially become a seamless extension of Macquarie Centre. This public domain will become an important value add to the Macquarie Centre shopping experience.” said Mr Zhang.
“At JQZ our priority is to offer maximum convenience and lifestyle offerings for our buyers. Prime will be the place of ultimate convenience, where buyers can work, play and relax right where they live – and you couldn’t live in a better part of Macquarie Park,” added Mr Zhang.
Prime will be located within walking distance to Macquarie University, Macquarie University Train Station and Macquarie Centre. It is set to become the ultimate investment opportunity for savvy buyers, and those looking for the ultimate living lifestyle and connectivity experience.
JQZ’s own in-house construction team is expected to commence building works in mid-2017 to ensure the high-quality construction standards the company demands are achieved and delivered on time.
The Prime sales gallery is open from 11am to 4pm seven days a week.
