Sydney-based developer, JQZ is opening its display suite for VIP bookings for their greatly anticipated mixed-use master-planned community, Ramsgate Park from Saturday 29 October 2016.
Ramsgate Park will be developed on the 3.3-hectare former Darrell Lea factory site in Kogarah and the PTW designed proposal includes approximately 550 apartments across four residential buildings as well as 20 townhouses.
Located at 168 Rocky Point Road, Kogarah, the Turner + Associates designed 300 square metre display suite will showcase what buyers can expect from a typical apartment in Ramsgate Park.
On display will be the European appliances, fixtures and fittings expected in examples of the bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms and dining areas included in this premium offering.
Visitors will be able to walk through the display suite, get a sense of the planned community from the to-scale model, touch and feel the surfaces and get a sense of room sizes.
Jian Qiu Zhang, Founder and CEO of JQZ said, “this project is going to be unique in Kogarah. This area is not accustomed to new master-planned communities. Unlike other parts of Sydney’s outer areas like Chatswood in the south and inner-west suburbs, this style of living is quite new here. Most houses are single dwellings and several decades old. We are offering a new lifestyle perfectly located between two large bodies of water and with an immense green parkland belt directly along the side of it.”
“With all of our projects, the site is the most important factor and this one is premium all the way. The proposal has been designed with the buildings set on the outer edges of the site to allow for a large green community space in the middle. Local residents will also be given access to these gardens to reach the adjacent public parklands. Views of Botany Bay and Sydney’s CBD will be available from some apartments.”
Site of former Darrell Lea factory
The site was formerly the factory of confectioner Darrell Lea for many decades. The Brisbane based Quinn family of VIP Pet Foods bought Darrell Lea in 2012, but in 2014 they closed the factory and moved the Darrell Lea manufacturing business to Ingleburn, on Sydney’s south-west fringe. Since then the factory site has been vacant.
The display suite will be open from 11am to 4pm seven days a week.
Public sales will launch on 19 November 2016.
Construction of Ramsgate Park is expected to commence in January 2017 and will be undertaken by JQZ’s own in-house building service.
